MBHL 2010 "Players Tournament"

March 6th and 7th

The Player's Tournament is a weekend tournament devoted to teams created from an assortment of players.  Each player submits their name and position along with a $20 registration fee and is selectively placed on a team.  A ranking system is created for all offensemen, defensemen, and all goalies.  The number of teams in the tournament is based on how many goalies have registered.  The number of registered players will determine a 5 on 5 or a 4 on 4 tournament.  Players will be ranked through a voting system by the officials and distributed throughout each team, ensuring the best possible situation for a competitive tournament.  This has worked out with exceptional success in the past.   Registration fee with your name, t-shirt size, and position will be due  Friday, February 26, 2010Send payment to Bill Licopoli at 1061 Macoby Creek Way, Pennsburg, PA 18073 or register on the MBHL homepage using the PayPal feature.  The teams and schedule will be posted on this website by Monday, March 1st.  Each player is guaranteed 3 games and any additional games if you qualify for the playoffs.  Awards include $300 for winning team and a playoff tournament MVP plaque.  Games begin early Saturday morning and the playoffs will end by late Sunday afternoon.  Please do not register if you can't make all of your games.  This will hurt your team.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to send an email to lico8@verizon.net

MBHL 2010 "Spring Season" begins March 14th

Registration fees for this year will be $70 due prior to playing first game (must be paid in full).  Please be sure registration is complete or else penalties will be called against their team.  Captains are suggested to collect their players registration fee if possible.  If a player wishes to play in both divisions, the registration fee will be $130 ($60 for second division). You can register on the MBHL homepage using the PayPal feature or pay at the court.

'C' DIVISION INFO:

'C' division teams will not be allowed to 'sign' any 'B' ranked players.  The league feels that these players have the potential of changing a competitive game into a non-competitive one.  Each team will also be allowed 2 'C' ranked players.  This is also necessary to keep alive the competitive nature that has always endured within the MBHL.

'B' DIVISION INFO:

Any 'B' division team will be allowed to 'sign' any number of 'C' ranked players.  A maximum of 3 'B' ranked players are permitted on each team.

Note:  Rankings for individual players will be based on either of the following two positions:  Goalie    or    Offense/Defense  (this means that if someone is a 'B' ranked player as a goalie, they may play in the lower division out of net) (also, a 'B' ranked player on offense will not be able to play as an unranked defenseman).

Player's Individual Rankings  (keep checking periodically for updates)

The Future of the MBHL

*An all new set of Youth Divisions (ages 5-14) will begin this spring (April registration/May-July games).  Games will occur on Saturday afternoons.  The first weekend will feature a visit from the Philadelphia Flyers along with some basic hockey drills for the kids.

*MBHL to join the National Ball Hockey League!  What is the NBHL?:

The Spring 2010 season will be our first opportunity for the B division champions to become part of something big.  The NBHL will be offering the opportunity to play through a "National Playoff System" where, as a team, the champions will play other champions from leagues in the region, state, and national levels.  The grand prize is a $1,850 cash award given to the national champion.  MVP's will also earn various awards including a flat screen TV.

Please stay tuned as further information is released.

*LIFETIME STATISTICS:   The MBHL plans to update and 'upgrade' all players LIFETIME statistics.  Records have been kept for every season you have played in and we plan to consolidate and post all your achievements.  Stay tuned, and yes...we're still working on this!!
